Role Summary

A Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst at Next Reason is responsible for developing and supporting the planning, design, and execution of test plans, test scripts, and process plans for projects.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans, cases, and reports
  • Perform manual (functional) testing on web applications
  • Perform mobile testing on Android and iOS applications
  • Participate in all aspects of testing including functional, regression and system testing
  • Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
  • Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities
  • Identify, record, and thoroughly document bugs
  • Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved
  • Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs
  • Liaise with internal teams (e.g. developers and product managers) to identify system requirements
  • Investigate the causes of non-conforming software and train users to implement solutions

  • Follow security best practices: Develop strong security and compliance best practices, and ensure the team adheres to Next Reason’s information security management system—including monitoring and reporting security incidents as needed
  • Focus on quality: Maintain high standards of quality when it comes to written and verbal communications by establishing good practices and habits, empathizing with our customers, and respecting your colleagues
  • Track time: All members of the team are required to track time and reach utilization targets appropriate for their role
  • Prioritize effectively: Prioritize and execute tasks in a methodical and disciplined manner, as well as internally provide leadership (technical and project) to teammates through coaching and mentorship
  • Handle other duties as assigned: Perform ad hoc tasks as needed

Job requirements


  • 1+ years in a QA role
  • Strong analytical and planning skills
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Excellent critical thinking ability and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work both independently, and in a team, to achieve the design and delivery goals
  • Experience working in an agile development environment
  • Proficiency with Git and common version control systems


  • Experience with QA software such as Qase, Cypress, and Selenium
  • ISTQB Foundation Level certification
